Let the Bible Speak is a ministry of the church of Christ in Michigan‘s Upper Peninsula. Here at LTBS, we believe that biblical illiteracy is one of the biggest challenges in modern society. Therefore, our primary goal at LTBS is simple: bring the Bible to as many people as possible. We believe Scripture has the ability to change lives, to change people‘s eternal fate, and may be the cultural catalyst we need to begin transforming our society into once that models God‘s image and values. Most of all, we want people, through God‘s Word, to discover Jesus, the source of salvation, whose love and sacrifice drives the church today. God has blessed us with the privilege to pursue this mission for 49 years on WLUC-TV6, and recently on FOX UP. Now, we‘re working to expand our reach through this podcast. Alex Meredith, the host of the LTBS, is the preaching minister at the Marquette Church of Christ in Marquette, MI. Alex has been in ministry for five years and has a BA Bible & Preaching degree from Harding University. Brian Poe is cohost for the program and preaches at the Escanaba Church of Christ. He also serves as chaplain at OSF Healthcare in Escanaba. Brian holds an MDiv from Heritage Christian University.

Sunday Oct 19, 2025
Almost everyone is willing to follow Jesus as He heals the masses, as He feeds the 5,000, and as He parades into Jerusalem to praise. How many, though, would be willing to follow Jesus in the final hours of His earthly life? Well, apparently none, if the biblical narrative bears any weight. Nevertheless, that is precisely our calling. What does that mean? Alex reflects on just that in this powerful episode.

Sunday Oct 05, 2025
One of the most remarkable aspects of Jesus’ ministry was His willingness to submit Himself to the Father as well as to the earthly authority structures around him. In this episode, Alex explores the implications of this and considers how Christians can better obey God—and why we all should!

Jesus Loves the Little Children
Sunday Sep 28, 2025
Sunday Sep 28, 2025
It’s true. The Bible places tremendous value in children, and that value is reflected in Jesus’ own ministry. That said, there are some passages that have long troubled even the most veteran Christians on the topic. Alex discusses today the topic of child suffering.

A Great Day Coming!
Sunday Sep 21, 2025
Sunday Sep 21, 2025
Ecclesiastes 12:14 reminds us, “God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil.” Many Christians even forget that one day the wrath of God will be poured out on the world. Jesus knew this, and so warned the world of the imminent danger—Christians then have a responsibility to do the same!

Uncle!
Sunday Sep 14, 2025
Sunday Sep 14, 2025
Wearing a cross necklace doesn’t make one a Christian, so what does? Imitating Jesus. One of the most obvious traits in someone genuinely pursuing Christ is their capacity to show mercy, a trait largely reserved for describing God within the context of Scripture. This episode reflects upon the mercy Jesus showed the adulterous woman, and what that says about every Christian’s calling.

Be Still

Sunday Sep 07, 2025
The world we live in is fast. Endless task lists have saturated many of our lives, resulting in genuine rest becoming a rare commodity. If we never truly stop, you know what else we never do? Pray. What happens when we never stop to pray? Chaos.

Follow Me
Sunday Aug 31, 2025
Sunday Aug 31, 2025
Telling someone to follow you is an incredibly bold thing to do. What if you don’t know the way? What if you think you know the way but unintentionally lead them to a destructive end. Many are thrust into leadership positions they are frankly unprepared for, perhaps because they never saw themselves as leaders in the first place. Christians are called to be leaders, just like Jesus.

Love One Another
Sunday Aug 24, 2025
Sunday Aug 24, 2025
In this special episode featuring Mike James, we consider Jesus’ repeated command that His disciples love and serve each other. This command does not preclude service to outsiders, but it certainly seems to be a priority, yet one the church is often guilty of neglecting.

Sunday Aug 17, 2025
Sunday Aug 17, 2025
In this special episode featuring Mike James, we discuss Jesus turning water into wine and what that reveals about the Christian calling. We may not be able to emulate the miraculous acts Jesus performed, but can we reenact the function?
