Let the Bible Speak is a ministry of the church of Christ in Michigan‘s Upper Peninsula. Here at LTBS, we believe that biblical illiteracy is one of the biggest challenges in modern society. Therefore, our primary goal at LTBS is simple: bring the Bible to as many people as possible. We believe Scripture has the ability to change lives, to change people‘s eternal fate, and may be the cultural catalyst we need to begin transforming our society into once that models God‘s image and values. Most of all, we want people, through God‘s Word, to discover Jesus, the source of salvation, whose love and sacrifice drives the church today. God has blessed us with the privilege to pursue this mission for 49 years on WLUC-TV6, and recently on FOX UP. Now, we‘re working to expand our reach through this podcast. Alex Meredith, the host of the LTBS, is the preaching minister at the Marquette Church of Christ in Marquette, MI. Alex has been in ministry for five years and has a BA Bible & Preaching degree from Harding University. Brian Poe is cohost for the program and preaches at the Escanaba Church of Christ. He also serves as chaplain at OSF Healthcare in Escanaba. Brian holds an MDiv from Heritage Christian University.

The Joy of the Lord

Sunday Nov 24, 2024
Happiness plays a massive role in modern society. Many, even if they never verbalize it, have made happiness (or rather, the pursuit of it) the center of their livelihood. Happiness though often proves elusive and is not, surprisingly, at the center of the Gospel. A more worthwhile pursuit is joy, the product of encountering the Gospel.

Growing in God

Sunday Nov 10, 2024
This episode is the introduction to a multi-week series Brian will lead on spiritual fruitfulness. Anyone can say they are a Christian, but genuine faith is marked by observable behavioral changes. This series is not intended to be a platform on which to stand and ridicule others, but rather a mirror, that we might introspectively consider how Jesus has (or hasn’t) changed us.

The precise role of politics within Christianity has been debated since the church’s inception. Believe it or not, this is not a topic Scripture shies away from. In this episode, Alex and Brian discuss the Bible’s stance on the issue. Hopefully, this study will allow Christians to approach Election Day with both faith and peace!
